Training tracks
Training
The SureTrace curriculum is organised into three tracks: an entry-level Foundations sequence, the NULCA certification prep built around the practice assessment, and Advanced modules for locating professionals working on multi-utility, dense-corridor, and records scopes. Each track ships as a series of standalone lessons — pick the one that matches where you are today.
Tracks
Three tracks, each with its own entry point
New to the trade? Start with Foundations. Prepping for the NULCA credential? The certification page is the entry point on that roadmap. Working on multi-utility campuses, dense corridors, or records documentation already? Jump straight to the Advanced track.
Foundations
A five-lesson entry sequence for new locators — what 811 covers, the on-site surface pre-sweep, the locating-equipment vocabulary, the EM signal model, and the field-reporting closeout.
NULCA certification prep
The five-domain prep SureTrace is building around the NULCA practice assessment — credential framing, prep modules, and a working practice run that gauges where you stand today.
Advanced modules
The track for working professionals scoping multi-utility campuses, dense corridors (hospital podium decks, utility tunnels, urban rights-of-way), and records at scale.
What's coming next
The Advanced track grows piece by piece
Module 01 — multi-utility sites — and Module 02 — field techniques for dense corridors — are live now. The NULCA prep modules are still in development; the practice assessment on /training/nulca-practice is the existing on-site instrument for the same five domains.
